Ace and Maverick. Maverick and Ace. These two are like two peas in a pod together, despite being totally different sizes. Maverick is a Yorkie — and Ace is about ten times his size.
Ace is such a gentle soul. Who could possibly think anything less of him? The Pit Bull is about 100 lbs. But the way he plays with his fur-sibling is so charming. Not only does the Pittie like to hang with the Yorkie, but the footage shows the dog allowing the smaller pet to lay on top of him. See? Ace is as gentle as can be.

Are Pit Bulls Good Family Dogs?

Pitties are not aggressive, but they can be territorial. They love their families, but if they aren't socialized at an early age they may not be comfortable around other animals. Pits have a lot of energy too. So you'll need outlets for all that energy. Give your pup lots of toys to chew, so that they won't go after your furniture. Make sure you give them plenty of exercise too so they'll be calm and relaxed in the house.
Obedience classes can also be good ways to curb any misbehavior. And you'll always want to keep an eye on any larger dog with small children in case they knock them over.
Overall, a Pit Bull can be an excellent dog for families. All they really need are for people to give them a chance.
